Author: CIM FDA

A capacity crowd is expected on 14 June 2017 when Steve McLean, Head of Agriculture & Fisheries at Marks & Spencer (M&S), will address CIM’s FDA group at an event at Mintel’s offices in London.

Steve will talk about how M&S buy and sell food and drink products and what they expect from their suppliers. He will also present on key market and consumer trends that M&S see shaping the UK market and what primary producers and processors need to do in order to meet customer and consumer requirements.

Vice Chair of the  CIM Food, Drink and Agriculture Group, Jan England says; “We are very pleased to welcome Steve to London to address us, following a fascinating presentation he made to CIM members in Warwickshire. Steve will give a good steer on how a premium food retailer buys and the challenges they face and not least, the innovation they demand from their suppliers.”

Jan adds; “This is a unique opportunity for potential suppliers to hear the inside story on how M&S procure and to ask your own questions.”

Alex Charrington of Charrington Farms in Maidstone, Kent is supplying delegates with his excellent range of apple juices and sparkling ciders at the event - thank you very much Alex!
