CIM Travel Group council

CIM Travel Group’s council is made up of highly qualified and experienced travel marketers who offer their time on a voluntary basis. Council meetings are held once a quarter and it is the job of the Council to devise and drive CIM Travel Group’s strategy and provide stimulating seminars, workshops, events and web content.

President Since exiting Hg Capital-backed Hoseasons in 2010, Richard has been undertaking a range of non-executive and consultancy roles, as well as looking out for new acquisition opportunities.

He is currently Chairman of PrivateFly, an online private jet booking portal, non-executive director at MWB (Malmaison, Hotel du Vin & Business Exchange) and Blue Chip Holidays.

Richard is also working extensively in the hotel and timeshare sectors and exploring leading edge tour operating technologies.

Keith has over 25 years’ experience in marketing, management, sales and business development, the last 20 of which have been focused on and around the travel sector. He has worked with such household names as the London Evening Standard, Daily Express, AOL and Cancer Research UK.

Keith now works as a Senior Account Director at the Accord Group, the leading integrated marketing agency specialising in Travel.

Steve Dunne

CIM Travel Group Vice Chair

Steve is CEO of Digital Drums Ltd, the UK’s leading digital marketing consultancy, and executive Chairman of Brighter Group, a leading travel marketing & PR agency. He previously held senior roles with BT, HSBC and South African Airways.

An examiner and tutor on PR and marketing communications for the CIM, he is a regular speaker in travel industry forums and is also one of the UK’s leading PR and digital marketing trainers.

Katerina Bomshtein

Katerina has over 10 years’ experience in the tourism marketing industry, both in the private and public sectors.

Since 2008, she has been the Destination Manager for Gran Canaria Tourist Board in the UK & Ireland, based within the Spanish Tourist Office in London.

Previously, she was the Sales and Marketing Director for the luxury hotel chain, Seaside Hotels, in the Canary Islands.

Bernice Chan

Bernice is an experienced and talented marketeer who heads up Marketing for Choice Hotels Europe, the global hotel operator. She oversees a team that delivers promotions, web marketing, PR, partnership marketing, trade shows, events and social media, all designed to raise brand awareness and drive more business to Choice’s UK hotel portfolio.

A native of New Zealand, she has been based in the UK for eight years and has previously held marketing and communications roles in the property and hospitality industries.

Adrian’s background is in destination marketing with some considerable service with the British, London and English Tourist Boards.

After a spell working for ‘Les Routiers’ in the UK, he became Director of the Tourism Society, from which he retired in 2004. Adrian is Deputy Chairman of the Institute of Tourist Guiding's Qualifications Board.

Joe graduated with a degree in Business and Marketing and gained a diploma in Integrated Marketing Communications whilst working for tailor-made travel specialist WEXAS.

Joe is currently Marketing Manager at luxury villa operator The Thinking Traveller for their three brands: Think Sicily, Think Puglia and Think Ionian Islands, where he manages all aspects of the marketing mix.

Sally joined Associated Newspapers in 1987 in the Classified Dept of the Evening Standard and was promoted through the ranks to her Group Classified position where her remit covered UK, London and free titles for the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, Ireland on Sunday, Evening Standard, Metro and Loot.

In 2004, Sally was appointed MD of Loot. In 2007, she set up her own Management Consultancy/Coach-mentoring company and started working with several well-established companies, including the Accord Group, direct advertising and marketing services agency specialising in travel. Sally was appointed CEO of Accord in 2013.
