Ellis to be new CIMCIG Chair

Author: Ross Sturley, CIMCIG

James Ellis of Certsure is to be the new Chair of CIMCIG, taking over from Mike Lomax of Tarmac, who steps down at the end of his term.

James is B2B Marketing leader with over 12 years’ experience of working within the Construction Sector for Travis Perkins Plc, Saint Gobain, Kier and current Certsure. He helped create the multi-award winning campaign delivered by Certsure for the new 18th Edition Wiring Regulations that focused on delivering great customer experience for Electrical Contractors, which was so successful at last year's Construction Marketing Awards.

Mike Lomax has been chair since 2016, and has seen a number of positive changes, such as the House of Lords lunch, and the continuation of the Chair's Debate.

Vice-chair Chris Ashworth said: "Mike has been a great chair, so we're obviously sad to see him step down, but it is great to have someone with the capability and enthusiasm of James taking over.

"We would like to say thank you to Mike for his time and energy, his selfless devotion has been exemplary, and construction marketing owes him great thanks."
