Rising to the challenge in healthcare marketing

CIM is holding an event in Warrington examining challenges within the healthcare sector on 29 November.

The evening event will start with Neil Pottinger, Sales & Marketing Director at Starkey Technologies, who will look at overcoming the challenges of marketing specifically in the hearing healthcare marketplace.  This will be followed by Sue Thoms, Head of UK Marketing Pharma at Fresenius Kabi, discussing the marketing of nutrition products to the NHS and hospitals.  Then Louise Haskins, co-founder and director of Stratia Ltd talking on the steps to the successful creation and promotion of brands in the health sector.

Sue Thoms explains; "The healthcare market is a crowded space. Trying to ensure your disease area is front of mind for NHS commissioners and prescribers is essential, but what if your brand portfolio - 'Clinical Nutrition' is competing against 'food' ? How do you get on their agenda when they are focused on pharmaceuticals and service re-design. I hope to share some insights on how we have approached this strategically, but also share some campaigns that have challenged views. "

Helen Hanratty, who is organising the event, said, “This event will be particularly relevant to both marketers and also suppliers to the healthcare sector.  In particular agencies and service providers to both public and private sectors".

The event, Rising to the challenge in healthcare marketing, will be hosted at The Centre, Birchwood Park on 29 November.
