Excellent Travel Marketing Insights at #QT18

The great and the good of travel marketing came together at Wallacespace Spitalfields on Monday 29 January for CIM Travel Group's annual Question Time event, which combined quality networking with the latest thinking, tools, trends, hints and tips.

The event began with a Networking Reception before an esteemed panel of travel marketing experts representing different marketing disciplines and sectors of the industry audience shared their views on the topical challenges, trends and opportunities facing travel marketers in 2018 with a packed auditorium of in-house and agency travel marketing professionals. Moderated by Steve Dunne, CIM Travel Group Vice Chair, and Sophie Griffiths, Editor of TTG, the audience enjoyed two insightful panel debates featuring leading lights from Kuoni, Royal Caribbean, TUI and more at the popular annual seminar that now forms part of the Travel Marketing Events series. In true Question Time fashion, questions were submitted by audience members in advance as well as from the floor, giving the event a unique interactive element.

The first debate, which was moderated by Steve, assessed the industry's turn of year campaigns, exploring the trends emerging in TV, audio and social media advertising in an era that is seeing a massive re-ordering of marketing communications. The second debate saw Sophie focus on the evolution of marketing in a world where personalisation is becoming key and where it can be difficult for marketers to keep up with the best and most effective ways to reach their target audience.
