Alex Aldous DipM MCIM
Alex Aldous is a senior marketing professional with over 15 years experience in the construction industry, having worked for SME, PLC and Private organisations.
In her current role she leads complex organisational change and marketing operations at Mace, a £2bn turnover construction firm. She brings a wealth of experience of leading successful, complex marketing, communications and change programmes in the built environment sector.
Her work at Kier, supporting areas of the business in their strategy and planning and managing Group wide change projects, was recognised with the CMA’s best contractor marketing campaign for their Shaping Your World campaign in 2017, encouraging young people to consider a career in the construction industry.
Whilst in 2022 her leadership of Mace’s purpose and priorities business change programme was recognised with the CMA’s best professional services marketing campaign, and highly commended in best stakeholder / internal communications campaign. Alex now leads on a culture change piece, embedding values and behaviours across the 7500 strong firm.
Alex has demonstratable experience leading teams of volunteers and in maintaining the highest standards of inclusive, professional etiquette and performance. She also co-leads on the Mace marketing and communications emerging talent portfolio, mentoring and developing graduates and apprentices across the teams.
A Chartered Marketeer and a professional member of CIM, Alex’s skills lie in project and change management, consultancy and leadership, and she thrives on helping others to grow their career in the industry.
Outside of work she is a mum to three young children, and two older step-children

Chris has over 35 years' experience working in sales and marketing in the construction industry. Initially with building product manufacturers and since 1999 as Managing Director of Competitive Advantage, a consultancy providing strategic support, market research and training in sales and marketing.
Chris has been a member of the organising committee of CIMCIG since 2007, Chairs the Promotional Working of BIM4M2 and is a regular contributor to industry blogs and journals. He is a leading authority on engaging with decision makers, drawing on practical sales experience, marketing theory and his own research to give a unique view of the process.

Vicky has over 10 years’ marketing experience within the built environment. She particularly enjoys creating purpose-driven content and empowering others to tell their stories.
Vicky’s current role is leading the marketing and communications at ADP Architecture. ADP is an employee-owned practice focused on making the world a more positive place; for people, communities and the environment.
Vicky believes the future of marketing is to drive social change and as marketers we have an important role to play in promoting sustainability. She is excited by marketing that strips brands back to their authentic core and she has signed up to The Sustainable Marketer Manifesto.

Catherine Fyfe MCIM
Catherine is currently Divisional Marketing Director for Construction Product Manufacturer Genuit Group’s Building Services and International Division. Having spent 10+ years in marketing within Construction Product Manufacturers, overseeing product management, marketing communications and digital strategies.
Catherine was Deputy Chair of CPA’s Marketing Integrity Group and was integral to the development and articulation of the Code for Construction Product Information. She now sits on the Board of CPI LTD and continues her passion for raising competency in marketing through shared knowledge and collaboration.
