Exciting opportunities are available for marketing professionals to join our Higher and Further Education Sector Interest Group (SIG) on a voluntary basis. The role of the committee is to create and deliver a range of activities designed to meet the career development needs of CIM members in the sector, as well as enhancing engagement with marketers across the wider professional network.

We are looking to add experienced and enthusiastic marketers to our tight knit team to further enhance the initiatives offered and to share the tasks:

• Vice Chair - Communications - The position of Vice Chair takes direct responsibility for the planning and delivery of communications, leading a small team of volunteer Committee members. The Vice Chair also works closely with the Chair of the SIG as well as the CIM PR, marketing and events teams. To be eligible for Vice Chair role you must be a voting member of CIM (ACIM, MCIM, or FCIM) working in the Higher or Further Education sector.

• Communications Ambassador – This role involves content marketing; curating and creating material for the Yorkshire regional website and social media channels. The Communications Ambassador will liaise with Vice Chair and is also a point of contact for our CIM PR and Communications team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in digital marketing, to work with us to grow our online presence and engagement.

• Events Ambassador – This role involves the planning, organising and delivery of an annual events programme, liaising with our Vice Chair and the CIM Events team to list and promote events, pre-event administration and event management.

The ideal candidate will be an event professional with a proven track record of developing, leading and managing face-to-face and hybrid events with a focus on driving results. To be eligible you must be a CIM member at any level and based in the Yorkshire region.
