Welcome to our last e-news of 2016 from the CIM Medical Marketing Group.
It’s getting cold outside, so we’ve been busy planning some indoor activities for you during the winter months. On 25 January, we’ve got our first ever training workshop Introduction to the concepts of marketing taking place at North Hertfordshire College. This afternoon course is intended for people working in medical sales who are considering a move into marketing, or people recently appointed to a marketing role in the medical device or pharmaceutical industries.
Speaker, Keith Rowland, explains: “Medical marketing is a crowded career, with lots of unqualified people. Take digital marketing for example, to quote Marketing Week, there is ‘a lost generation of marketers bluffing about digital’. And, marketing is not all about digital! Marketing always was, and still is, about understanding and meeting customer needs. This course will give those new to the sector a good overview of marketing strategy.”
We are also looking forward to our Digital Marketing event, How digital is changing the healthcare landscape and what does the future hold? which will be hosted by Lord Lansley at the House of Lords on 09 March. There is an early booking discount on this event if you book before 31 January 2017
Whilst we have been busy finalising these events, the ‘Accelerated Access Review: final report’ has been published which sets out recommendations to speed up access to innovative healthcare and technologies, to improve efficiency and outcomes for NHS patients and some new Mintel research reports are in the CIM library.
You can find out more about these events and other industry news stories on our Medical Marketing Group web pages
