Rise in teens turning to Botox

There has been an increase in the number of teenagers, as young as 13, wanting Botox treatment. There are concerns that a rise in mental health and self-esteem problems, together with the influence of celebrities, is fuelling the trend. Doctors are calling for regulators to “put a stop to inappropriate celebrity endorsements or the targeting of vulnerable young people”. The Nuffield Trust on Bioethics wants under-18s to be banned from having any kind of cosmetic treatment.
