Author: Dawn Southgate
The latest Daily Telegraph Business Tracker reveals that small business confidence has fallen to its lowest level in 15 months. It monitored the tweets of companies and entrepreneurs between 26 February and 25 March to find that there was three times as much pessimism (73%) as optimism (27%) in the small business community. Brexit was the main factor, with 56% concerned over the lack of progress and 17% saying the handling of Brexit had negatively impacted their business. However, apart from Brexit, some small businesses are confident about the way they have secured funding (16%).
