New Award Category: Destination Brand of the Decade

The Travel Marketing Awards has introduced a new award category for 2020: Destination Brand of the Decade.

This category, which is free to enter, aims to celebrate a destination that has made an indelible mark between 2010-2019.

If you represent a destination that has undergone reputational change, set itself apart from its competitors, developed niche markets and grown new market segments, dealt with adverse tourism effects or significantly grown its inbound tourism over the past decade, then enter this special category by Wednesday 11 December*.

Destinations will be asked to submit:

Destination Impact
What has your destination done to make an indelible mark over the past decade?

Reputation Change
How has the image of your destination changed over the period? (in the travel trade or with consumers) Have you had to deal with any adverse tourism effects?

Distinction
How has your destination set itself apart from its direct competitors over the period? Have you developed any niche markets or grown new market segments?

Growth
What impact has your marketing efforts had on the growth in tourism to your destination, in particular from the UK.
