Author: Judith Mason

During a time of considerable change for our members in the sector we are seeking to strengthen the Construction Industry Group (CIMCIG) team, to deliver activities and engagement to support our members and marketers. This will be by offering networking opportunities and events, promoting professional marketing practice and sharing latest developments in construction marketing.
The roles are voluntary and to be eligible you must be a voting member of CIM (ACIM, MCIM, or FCIM) and working in the Construction sector. Appointments are for an initial term of office of three years.

Vice Chair Events – The role will involve developing a strategy for events to be approved by the Committee and implemented by the Vice Chair, alongside other events ambassadors. This will involve identifying topics, speakers and venues, sponsorship and partnership opportunities and liaising with the CIM Central Events team. You will work with the rest of the Committee to promote the events to members and other contacts.

Vice Chair Communications - The role, supported by other communications ambassadors, involves content marketing, curating and creating content for the CIMCIG website, developing our social media channels and acting as a point of contact for the CIM PR and Communications team and our external PR agency. You will liaise with our events ambassadors to promote the sector events programme.

Events and Communications Ambassador roles – We are also planning to appoint ambassadors to the committee to support the Vice Chairs. For these roles you must be a member of CIM at any level. Appointments are also for an initial term of three years.
